I am in a professional environment now :(

Yeah… sad but true :(

 

I don’t want to grow up! Why do we have to sober down once we become professionals? :(

 

A couple of incidents made me write this thing….

 

On my way to Goa, I and my group were sitting in the bus… and another group of youngsters was also there, possibly from infy … and everything was so calm, everything was so silent, no one was talking with each other, they were all sitting silently! I asked Rohit, why is everyone sitting so silently? He replied , they are all professionals… :O .. I replied, is it?? He said, “Look at us, we also have sobered down very much after college” …

 

This Monday, I brought Home Baked Cooked, which my Mom made, to office!!! I shooted a mail to my team mates saying, “Sweets at my Desk”. I expected everyone to come running to my desk, and finish off the cake in matter of seconds!!! But to my surprise, 15 minutes after I sent that mail , no one came to my cubicle ( my team sits at different places on the same floor). After about half an hour, one by one people started coming, they took one piece, and said Thank You and went away!!! :O A few of them dint even come :( . At the end of the day, I was forced to take more than half of the cake back home :( This was the same cake which people used to absolutely love when I was in college, and whenever they used to see it, it was gone in a matter of seconds!!!

 

Has something changed? These two incidents from the very recent past certainly make me feel so :(

 

I try my best to, not to grow up… I don’t want the child in me to ever die… the craziness need not die, EVER!!!

Delhi - Gurgaon and the usual!

*Rant Alert* The traffic of Delhi-Gurgaon is a great teacher. It teaches you so many things in such a short span of time that at the end of your journey from Home to Office you are a lot more humbled. It teaches you to be thankful, it teaches you the importance of short memory and many other things. When you start from home at 7:15 in the morning, the pleasant weather and light rain gives you the great energy you would need to start your day on a happy note. And, then suddenly you find a malfunctioning Traffic Signal which is turning green for just 30 sec resulting in 15 min stoppages where it should ideally be just 2 to 3 minutes. You realize, it’s never wise to count your chickens before they hatch. A little further down the way, there is a caring father who stops his car on the right most side of the road – next to the road partition. "Going Home for Diwali"

October - Yes, the festive season is near. In the morning, when you wake up there is a cool breeze that is blowing. You slowly try to ease your way out of the bed and crawl into the bathroom for the shower, only to turn the shower On and stand next to it trying to muster up the courage to get into it. The water is cold, and you are probably too embarassed to start using the Water Heater, yet. You wait until you realize that you are getting late for office and then dash into the shower and out of it as quickly. So, the hot and humid summers are gone. In the evening there is a very pleasent fragnance from the flowers on the trees. That pleasent smell (for lack of a better word) reminds you that the festive season is here. Diwali is coming soon!
